DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Open the store a minimum of two days per week; close the store a minimum of two days per week.

Authorize and sign for refunds and overrides; count register; deposit money in bank.

Assist in ensuring the financial integrity of the store through strict cashier accountability, key control, and adherence to company security practices and cash control procedures.

Ensure that merchandise is presented according to established practices and Store Manager direction; utilize merchandise fixtures properly including presentation, product pricing and signage.

Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.

Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls.

Conduct safety meetings; help to maintain a clean, well-organized store and facilitate a safe and secure working and shopping environment.

Provide superior customer service leadership.

Follow company policies and procedures as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures manual, Employee Handbook, and company communications. Assist Store Manager in ensuring employee compliance

Complete all paperwork and documentation according to guidelines and deadlines.

Fleet Maintenance Manager - Republic Services - Pimento, IN





The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the management of fleet equipment at one or more locations and managing a team(s) of technicians (mechanics) who are responsible for the preventive maintenance and repair of a fleet of up to 60 vehicles (diesel and alternative fuel)., Additional responsibilities could include maintenance of equipment and machinery at a post collection facility(ies), and management of a container shop(s). The Maintenance Manager is responsible for providing direction, either directly or indirectly, to a group of technicians to ensure that all repairs and maintenance to Republic Services’ equipment, including trucks, containers and other heavy duty equipment, are performed in compliance with the Company’s safety and maintenance standards, and in compliance with all federal and state regulations. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning and scheduling the repair work for his or her work group to ensure that all work is done in a safe and timely manner, reducing lost productivity within the shop.

**Principal Responsibilities: **


  • Provide direction to all technician levels, as well as the lead technicians, in the maintenance shop and may manage a Site Maintenance Supervisor in a satellite maintenance shop or a Maintenance Shift Supervisor, assigned to his or her work group to ensure that all repair and maintenance work is performed is a safe, efficient and timely manner. Oversee the planning and scheduling of all repair work to increase productivity, while effectively managing the department’s overtime. Monitor the shop’s operational performance and efficiency and take action to redirect activities as appropriate. Report to management on shop performance, and implement procedures for process or programmatic changes for improvement for efficiencies.

  • Manage lead technicians and maintenance supervisor(s) in the maintenance shop, to include such responsibilities as overseeing daily shop huddles; fleet walks; coaching and counseling lead technician and maintenance supervisor(s) on performance and corrective action, when necessary; make hiring and termination decisions, in concert with Human Resources and appropriate management; oversee employee training and performance evaluation; evaluate, recommend and approve supervisor recommendations for merit increase, promotion and job change recommendations, as appropriate.

  • Maintain an on-going preventive maintenance program for assigned locations. Identify trends in road calls, break downs; oversee maintenance of the building and other facility on site; control maintenance costs relating to personnel, purchasing, inventory control and outsourcing of repairs.

  • Manage outside repair facilities and repairs to ensure all work is properly completed in accordance with the Company’s safety and compliance procedures, and federal and state regulations; follow up where appropriate. Identify training opportunities and, as necessary, document issues and constructively discusses corrective action, as needed, with maintenance supervisor.

  • Conduct Quality Control Inspections, track issues and issue resolution to ensure all works is properly completed and is in accordance with the Company’s safety and compliance procedures, and federal and state regulations.

  • Maintain advanced knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brake, hydraulic and electrical systems to manage advanced preventive and repair maintenance functions of heavy equipment and vehicles used by the company, on site and on the road, including:

o Engine chassis repair and maintenance;


o Knowledge of vehicle body control systems, including hydraulics and electrical systems to manage the maintenance and repair the vehicles in a timely and safe manner;


o Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems to manage diagnosis and repair of complex heating and cooling systems in the vehicles in a timely and safe manner; and


o Knowledge of welding tools to fix heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner to ensure the equipment is back in an operable condition as quickly and as safely as possible.


  • Manage related administrative matters for the team, including payroll, maintain employee records, maintain records of all preventive and corrective maintenance performed, ensure the appropriate recording of all information into Dossier Maintenance Software, prepare and submit the budget for approval, set departmental goals to align with the targets and performance objectives established by the division’s leadership team.

Position Overview

The purpose of this position is to operate a saw machine to close tolerances in a metal production environment. This position is responsible for loading the material so that it can be cut, mainly on band saws.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Works to supply products and services that meet or exceed the customers’ expectations. Follows the documented quality systems and processes that are continually being improved to satisfy our customers’ needs.

Unload truck and place material in the appropriate locations as needed.

Plan and coordinate material usage, drops, and cuts.

Set up, operate, or tend saws and machines that cut or trim material to specified dimensions, such as circular saws, band saws.

Adjust saw blades, using wrenches and rulers, or turning hand wheels or pressing pedals, levers, or panel buttons.

Operate panel boards of saw and conveyor systems to move stock through processes, and to cut stock to specified dimensions.

SUMMARY


The Equipment Technician works under the supervision of the Garage Manager, performing service, preventive maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of vehicles, construction equipment, and grounds maintenance equipment.


 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  1. To perform repairs on grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, backhoes, blowers, edgers, chain saws, trucks and vacuums; also to perform welding

  2. To maintain appropriate records of services performed

  3. To maintain records of fuel and parts disbursement

  4. To collect daily time sheets and invoices and turn them in to Facilities Management office in Supervisor’s absence

  5. To perform purchasing for repairs

  6. To maintain a safe and clean work environment

  7. Troubleshoot vehicle maintenance repairs

  8. To perform other related functions within the scope of responsibility of the position as determined by the Garage Manager.

 


QUALIFICATIONS


  1. Ability and technical expertise to maintain a wide variety of gas and diesel powered motor vehicles and ground maintenance equipment

  2. Ability to weld and fabricate metal and to repair equipment

  3. Knowledge of safety procedures related to equipment maintenance and handling of potentially hazardous materials

  4. Ability to diagnose and support the diagnosis

  5. Ability to evaluate diagnostic options and come to correct conclusions

  6. Ability to describe the parts needed to perform the repair

  7. Possession basic math skills

  1. Experience in minor body work and refinishing is a plus.

  2. A valid driver’s license is required.

  3. CDL license is helpful

 



EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE




  1. High school diploma or GED required

  2. Graduation from technical school with emphasis on vehicle maintenance preferred

  3. Three years’ experience in the vehicle maintenance field required
