By participating in our paid Refresher/Supplemental Training program , you’ll work with an Averitt driver-trainer to gain the experience and skills you need to become a full-time Averitt driver . That’s all it takes to get on the road to a rewarding dedicated driving career!

Supplemental Training Program:
Short on experience? Only have 4 to11 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years? This program will provide you a minimum of 3 weeks of paid training; you’ll receive a flat rate of $600 per week.
Refresher Training Program:
Been out of the driver’s seat for a while? Only have 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience and it was 4-5 years ago? This program will provide a minimum of 1 week of paid training; you’ll receive a flat rate of $600 per week.
**If you’ve graduated within the past 180 days from an approved driving school and/or have 1 to 4 months solo Tractor Trailer experience please refer to our Student Driver Training Program to apply**.

After successful completion of the Training Program , you’ll be ready to help serve our Dollar General customer in Scottsville, Kentucky.
Drivers for this account must live within a 150 mile radius from the Averitt Service Center.
This excellent career opportunity entails:
- Picking up preloaded trailers at the customer’s distribution center in Scottsville, KY
- Making deliveries to retail stores located in Tennessee, Kentucky. Southern Indiana & Southern Ohio
- Average 4-5 loads per week
- Once empty, you’ll return to the DC for your next load.
- This position requires unloading using roll-tainers, U-boats, and the trailer liftgate
After training is complete:
- Start pay of.39 cpm
- Top out pay of .42 cpm
- Stop pay of $19.00 per stop with $1.00 increase every 6 months until top out of $22.00
- Unloading pay of $41.00 per trailer with $2.00 increase every 6 months until top out of $47.00
- You have the potential to earn a weekly average of $1,000-$1,100!
- You’ll enjoy weekly home time ; with possibility of mid-week home time as well.
- Assigned Late Model Volvo, Freightliner, or International ProStar” majority with automatic transmissions and all with APU’s.
- Customer upgrades trailers on a consistent basis
