Maintenance Supervisor


A fortune 500 Packaging company is looking for multiple positions Maintenance Supervisors. Positions have responsibilities of Management and lead the hourly maintenance employees to meet the safety, environmental, production, quality, goals of the departments, handling labor relations, quality, production, cost improvement and performance measurement of production.


 


 


Job Description


  • Nearly 2 or 3 years of experience as maintenance supervisor.

  • High level of knowledge in advanced asset reliability techniques and practices.

  • Sound understanding of financial practices and cost measures as they relate to maintenance.

  • Works well with teams and can take leadership roles effectively.

  • Manage maintenance engineering efforts for board machine, and de-poly to provide a safe work environment and maintain equipment reliability. 

  • Supervise contractors and mill workforce as needed. 

  • Maintain all engineering files and ensure carriers’ documentation.

  • Investigate equipment failures and generate Root Cause Failure Analysis reports to drive equipment reliability through equipment modifications, method changes etc.

  • Manage the Preventive Maintenance systems and help direct the Predictive Maintenance workforce. 

  • Ensure the correct preventive maintenance work orders are in place to drive reliability and work with the vibration analysis team to make the correct decisions around component repairs.

  • Managing pressure vessels, tanks, safety valves, crane and lifting devices, chemical enclosures and containments.

  • Insure a safe work environment for employees and through leadership instill an employee involved safety approach.  

  • Insure that hourly maintenance employees are trained, knowledgeable and that they adhere to mill safety policies and regulations.

  • Ensure hourly employees have proper training and tools to meet department goals.

  • Coordinate with Production in preparing maintenance outages, daily work schedules and preventative maintenance activities and insuring proper manning to execute.

  • Conducts annual supervisor performance reviews.

  • Participates recommends on hiring decisions for maintenance and operations groups

  • Recommends changes to storeroom stocking levels and inventory

  • Recommends evaluates new or existing equipment modifications

 


Job requirements:-


 


  • Candidate must have BS Degree in Mechanical Technology.

  • Candidate must have relevant experience from 2 to 10 years’ experience

  • Mechanical engineering and mathematical skills.

  • Verbal and written communication skills.

  • Read “Blue Prints” or Machine Drawings.

  • Computer Skills.

  • Must be able to manage several tasks at once and prioritize appropriately
