Job Requirements:


2-3 years of experience with Medical Office Compliance


Medical Office Manager Experience


Knowledge of OSHA and HIPPA compliance and regulations


Medical Billing and Coding Experience


 


 


Preferred Certifications:


Registered Health Information Administration (RHIA)


Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)


Certified Medical Compliance Officer (CMCO)


Association with Healthcare Compliance Association


 


Job Description:


 Seeking a qualified individual to uphold and maintain the office’s current compliance program. This individual would be responsible for updating and complying with the current Medicare guidelines, as well as, OSHA and HIPPA safe practices. A competent individual with the ability to provide continual necessary training and interim quality assurance checks. You must have knowledge on where to locate necessary guidelines and ability to understand the specifics of healthcare medical necessity.


 


Responsibilities:


·         Implementation and upholding current medical compliance within the office.


·         Review all relevant documents for safety and privacy of the practice.


·         Educating staff members on safety violations and changes to the current regulations of HIPPA and OSHA


·         Ensuring all material in the office is up to date and accurate with Medicare, Medicaid, and Office of the Inspector General.


·         Conducting internal monitoring and auditing


·         Enforcement of disciplinary standards through well publicized guidelines.


·         Auditing of Billing and Coding


·         Deeming and understanding medical necessity of in office procedures.


·         Establishing methods such as periodic audits to improve practice efficiency.


·         Develop standards of training programs.
