Account Sales Representative II
General purpose of the position: Contribute to achieving the established company sales, profit, and revenue goals, through placing accurate orders, proper rotation of product, and effective placement of POP.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels at customer locations through handheld computer system.
- Merchandising duties, prepping/rotating/filling/consolidating backroom to meet companies’ allowable standards.
- Determine POP needed, make POP and distribute POP at each customer location as needed.
- Manage and coordinate the pickup of broken and close-dated product per established standard operating practices.
- Make weekly sales calls to current customers to increase sales of current product, negotiate better product placement, obtain orders on new products and ensure service satisfaction.
- Communicate any customer service or delivery issues to Sales and Delivery Supervisors.
- T-com all orders by daily cutoff time.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license. Motor Vehicle Record must show no more moving violations than are allowed by our Driver’s license policy.
- 1-2 years of related work experience.
Skills & abilities:
- Must have strong customer service skills.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must have strong sales skills.
Physical demands:
- Periodic lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Frequent pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, stooping, standing and walking.
- Work in varying job conditions including; heat, cold, damp, inside, outside.
