Account Sales Representative II



General purpose of the position: Contribute to achieving the established company sales, profit, and revenue goals, through placing accurate orders, proper rotation of product, and effective placement of POP.


 


 


Duties & responsibilities:


  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels at customer locations through handheld computer system.

  • Merchandising duties, prepping/rotating/filling/consolidating backroom to meet companies’ allowable standards.

  • Determine POP needed, make POP and distribute POP at each customer location as needed.

  • Manage and coordinate the pickup of broken and close-dated product per established standard operating practices.

  • Make weekly sales calls to current customers to increase sales of current product, negotiate better product placement, obtain orders on new products and ensure service satisfaction.

  • Communicate any customer service or delivery issues to Sales and Delivery Supervisors.

  • T-com all orders by daily cutoff time.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 


 


 


Education & experience:


 


  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Valid driver’s license. Motor Vehicle Record must show no more moving violations than are allowed by our Driver’s license policy.

  • 1-2 years of related work experience.

 


 


Skills & abilities:


 


  • Must have strong customer service skills.

  • Must have basic computer skills.

  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

  • Must have basic math skills.

  • Must have strong sales skills.

 


 


Physical demands:


 


  • Periodic lifting of up to 60 lbs.

  • Frequent pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, stooping, standing and walking.

  • Work in varying job conditions including; heat, cold, damp, inside, outside.
