Technician I-Quality Lab-FDE - Eli Lilly - Terre Haute, IN





The Quality Laboratory Technician performs accurate, precise and timely testing of laboratory samples in accordance with approved methods. Expertise in lab operations, attention to detail and thoroughness are critical components. The Lab Technician will participate in laboratory investigation, equipment qualifications and maintenance by executing well-defined protocols and procedures. In addition, the Lab Technician is involved in issuance of batch tickets, product release, the stability program, document control, and deviation/change management.

Functions, Duties, Task:

Responsibilities of the Quality Laboratory Technician include but are not limited to:


  • HACCP/feed-food safety

  • Culture laboratory duties (inoculation, flasks, plating, etc)

  • Exhibit cross-functional influence

  • Maintain and improve Quality Systems

  • Support FUME Quality programs

  • Write/Revise deviations, procedures, protocols and change controls

  • Participate in self/agency/3rd party audits

  • Laboratory Safety

  • Maintain stability program of current products

  • Prepare product labels and Certificates of Analysis

  • Issue batch tickets

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field

  • Completion of Post Offer Exam, Completion of Work Simulation or Completion of Administrative Skills Testing if applicable.

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • Laboratory experience, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, exhibit independent decision-making skills, strong technical skills, knowledge of computer applications and problem solving skills.

  • QA/QC experience is highly desirable

  • Language requirement: English

Additional Information

  • This position is not permanent. It is for a fixed duration of two years with potential to extend annually for up to 4 years.
