Product Engineer

Emery Winslow Scale Company, Terre Haute,Indiana, is the manufacturer of industrial weighing equipment.  The company has been in business for over 100years and has been known for creating the scale that weighs Shamu at Sea World.We are currently looking for a ProductEngineer that is excited to be a part of an innovative, growingcompany.  This individual will be taskedwith creating marketable solutions for a variety of industrial weighingapplications.  This position works with sales,manufacturing and field service to ensure that our customers receive reliable,quality product. Duties include: consulting with inside and outsidecustomers; simultaneous engineering; maintenance of and improvements tostandard product designs; support of quality and lean manufacturinginitiatives; and any other duties as might be determined by the engineeringmanager. MinimumRequirements:

• B.S. Mechanical Engineering


• 2+ years experience

Additional“Plus” Experience/Skills (any or all):

• Structural design (stress analysis)

• Word, Excel; bills of material, packing lists, etc.

• Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA)

• Six Sigma, SPC, or other quality tools

• Manufacturing processes (welding fabrication, machining, assembly, finishing and painting, etc.)

• Trouble-shooting experience (manufacturing, installation, operation)

• AutoCAD skills (2-D most important)
