Information Security Analyst - Sony DADC - Terre Haute, IN






Sony DADC is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join the Information Security Division. This position will report to the Director of Information Security and be a part of the dynamic team responsible for securing Sony’s information assets, services, and the employees that depend on them, to enable trust with customers, stakeholders, and employees and protect their privacy.


The Information Security Analyst position is an exciting role for the right candidate with a passion for information security and leadership qualities who is eager to drive security initiatives from start to finish. Responsibilities:


  • Maintain and enhance the vulnerability testing and remediation process

  • Validate alerts generated through security testing and monitoring tools

  • Work with business and technical teams to review vulnerabilities, plan remediation strategy and track items to closure

  • Participate in incident triage, analysis, response, and remediation for computer network intrusions

  • Monitor and analyze industry and vendor vulnerability alerts

  • Assist with gathering and reporting metrics regarding security events, vulnerabilities, and alerts

  • Support periodic network and application security penetration testing activities, including scheduling, resources, tool execution, and reporting

  • Recommend and drive capability and functionality improvements in critical security tools and their associated processes

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field, such as information technology or computer science, or equivalent experience

  • Requires a broad knowledge of information technologies along with information security best practices

  • Experience working with security tools such as Nmap, Qualys, Nessus, and Tripwire is desired but not required

  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively and tactfully with both business-oriented executives and technology-oriented professionals

  • Ability to work independently and proactively in unstructured environments

  • Eligible to work unrestricted in the USA
