Job Description
Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, and tests to assure the quality of products. Includes incoming inspection, first/last piece inspection, IP testing, etc.
- Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
- Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.
- Contributes actively to the reduction of failure costs like scrap, downtime, and rework.
- Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
- Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities.
- Maintains a working knowledge of government, customer and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
- Stops production in case of a non-conformity.
- Supports production in case of quality issues, which are supplier or process related.
- Tracks and manages storage and flow of nonconforming and suspect material.
- Supports production in the assembly of high quality products while achieving all SQDC targets by representing Quality in SQDC.
- Applies problem solving methodology to ongoing issues on the shop floor.
- Supports supplier quality in accordance with ISO 16949, TKT-Presta Group, and customer specific requirements with the expectations of reducing quality costs attributed to poor supplier quality, and total customer satisfaction.

Comprehensive understanding the QS 9000 (AIAG SPC, FMEA, PPAP, APQP and MSA manuals) requirements and the FORD/CHRYSLER/BMW customer requirements. Able to apply all corporate documents from the TKA-Presta group as well as internal TKA-PTH documents.
Education and/or Experience:
Associates degree or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer and Technology Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; MS Office software package, SAP-enterprise resource planning software quality module, Lotus Notes Applications, QS-STAT software tool, Z-Point, PLM software, Gage Track. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the usage of test equipment like hand gages, comparator, plug gages, various test stands, basic CMM handling.
