Sr. Human Resources Generalist
Can live on Indianapolis north side, Zionsville, Westfield, Lafayette, or Lebanon areas
SUMMARY
Responsible for general human resources support activities. Will provide assistance in the areas of general employment, employee record keeping, administration, payroll, benefits, recruitment, training, corrective action, as well as HRIS employee data maintenance. Will provide support to the manufacturing population, working cross-functionally and assist hourly associates, production supervisors and managers in resolving issues. No direct reports. Several positions available – OPEN DUE TO TREMENDOUS GROWTH
DUTIES
- Drive initiatives that support the organizations goals and objectives, short and long term.
- Drive independent projects
- First point of contact and first line communications to managers and supervisors regarding general human resources related questions/issues
- Problem-solve using information, policy, procedure, compliance, and systems information to identify best fit approach/response to meet customer requirements.
- Assist with recruitment activities such as post open positions to internal/external job boards, conduct pre-employment reference/background checks, phone screens, scheduling of interviews, work with external recruiters/employment agencies when needed, and complete recruiting projects as assigned.
- Assist with new hire activities including communicating with new associates regarding first day of work activities, coordinating new hire orientation, and ensuring completion and processing new hire paperwork.
- Input and maintain employee data in the corporate HRIS and other HR information systems as needed.
- Assist with compiling information and preparing reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and handling special projects as directed.
- Handle and maintain confidential materials, including financial and personnel records and files – ensuring employee personnel files are complete, compliant, confidential and current.
- Performance management and improvement systems
- Compliance to all federal, state and local regulations
- Positive employee relations
- Consistent interpretation and administration of the employee handbook, policies and procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Must have a 4 –year degree
· Must have 5+ years of solid HR Generalist experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
· Clear understanding of all HR functions
· Demonstrated, clear understanding of the recruitment process
· Knowledge of State and Federal regulations
· Proficient in MS Office programs
· Experience with HRIS preferred
