Information Technology Security Administrator



Technology Service Corporation (TSC), an employee-owned systems engineering firm, is seeking an Information Technology Security Administrator to work at Crane, IN.  US Citizenship required.  Applicants selected will be subject to a Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. 


Job Functions


  • Perform workstation, server, network, and application scanning to determine vulnerability risks

  • Perform steps in mitigating known risks to acceptable level or reduce or lessen the likelihood of occurrence.

  • Analyze information assurance requirements and support the design, development and integration of software based solutions.

  • Install software application that provide or enhance the security of individual platforms, systems and/or networks.

  • Conduct analyses and record findings on current patch compliance status of Research Development Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) systems for use in the Risk Management Framework (formerly Certification and Accreditation) process.

  • Apply appropriate updates to RDT&E systems as required to maintain compliance with Crane and DoD cybersecurity requirements

  • Configure and implement cybersecurity Risk Management Framework (formerly IA Certification and Accreditation) security controls

  • Configure and implement Risk Management Framework (formerly IA Certification and Accreditation) security controls.


Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred

  • Four or more years of experience in computer science, management information systems, or data security experience

  • Experience working with information and network security practices, software, and hardware

  • Experience working with operating systems

  • Experience working with computer desktop packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

  • Experience working with security architecture

  • CISSP certification preferred


Other Qualifications


  • Must have previous experience performing vulnerability scanning and remediation techniques

  • Experience utilizing DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS) highly desired

  • Previous security/system administration experience desired

  • Good analytical skills and creative problem solving skills

  • Good interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Must be DoD 8570 IAT Level II certified
